Adam Vasquez

Adam Vasquez, age 70, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026. Born on April 7, 1956, Adam lived a life defined by knowledge, hard work, curiosity, and dedication to his family and students.

After graduating from Pontiac Central High School, Adam pursued his passion for electronics by attending NIT to study electronics. His fascination with mathematics and electronics remained a lifelong passion and shaped both his career and personal interests.

Adam began his professional career working for General Motors before later becoming a respected mechanic teacher at West Bloomfield High School. He took pride in teaching and mentoring young people, sharing not only technical skills but also the value of patience, precision, and hard work. Many students remember him as a knowledgeable instructor who genuinely cared about helping others succeed.

Outside of work, Adam enjoyed spending time solving mathematical problems, working with electronics, and exploring how things functioned. He had a sharp mind, a practical spirit, and a natural ability to fix nearly anything placed in front of him.

Adam is survived by his beloved children, Christopher Garcia, along with his four grandchildren, and Tony Ingram and his daughter, Denver. His family, friends, former students, and colleagues will deeply miss his wisdom, humor, and steady presence.

Adam’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he impacted as a teacher, father, grandfather, and friend.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 am at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 9:00 am at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
