Alan Fred Schmittka

Alan Fred Schmittka; of Orion; age 68; passed away on September 19, 2026. Fred is the beloved husband of Vicki of 28 years; loving father of Stacy (Ken) Davis, Rebecca (Correy) Berilla and the late Melissa Schmittka; loving grandfather of Logan, Haley, Luccas, Keria and Evelyn; dear brother of Roger (Sue) Schmittka; and special uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Thelma Schmittka; and by his brothers, Charles and Randy Schmittka. Fred worked for Falcon Lawn Sprinklers in Oxford for 42 years. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing or riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Fred was also a longtime member of the American Eagles. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends, especially his dog Gizmo. A celebration of life will be held on October 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Tavern, 1225 Baldwin Ave, Pontiac, MI 48340.
