Alden "Bill" Haydel

Alden William Haydel “Bill”; of Lake Orion; November 1, 2016; age 87. Bill is the loving husband of Sandy and the late Thelma; dear father of Linda Farms, Alden E. (Roberta) Haydel, and Shirley (Ron) Cifolelli; loving grandfather of Rick Farms, Michael (Hannah) Farms, Jon (Tiffany) Farms, Alden W. (Kayla) Haydel II, Loretta Haydel, Peter (Renee) DeGeorge, T.J. DeGeorge and Curtis DeGeorge; and great grandfather of seven. He is also the step-father of Fred (Beth) Garrett, Christina Lucas and Tammy (Tim) Foster; and step-grandfather of seven. Bill graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1948 and promptly enlisted in the United States Navy where he worked in Submarine Service and earned a Good Conduct Medal. He eventually settled in Lake Orion where he farmed and built three homes, owned and operated Bill’s Barber Shop for forty plus years, and was the Orion Township Supervisor from 1972 to 1976. Bill will be greatly missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
