Alfred Eugene Powell Sr.

Alfred E. Powell Sr.; of Lake Orion; age 90; passed away on April 15, 2025.  Alfred is the beloved husband of the late Velma Jean; loving father of James Powell, Alfred (Deborah K.) Powell Jr., Bruce (Sandra) Powell and Daniel Powell; loving grandfather of Melissa, Heather, Daniel, Connor, Bruce II, Matthew and Stefanie; loving great grandfather of Leah, Kaitlyn, Bryant, Teagan, Devin, Makayla and Joey; and dear great great grandfather of Emma and Xavier.  Alfred retired from General Motors after 46 years.  Alfred was a proud US Navy reservist and retired after 37 years.  He enjoyed tending to his amazing garden and spending time with his family.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Interment will be held at Square Lake Cemetery
