ALICE PROSSER(COMPTON); May 18, 2008 Age 88 of Waterford, formerly of Midland. Born in Pontiac, March 24, 1920 to the late Dr. James and Carrie (Reid) Compton. The then Ms. Compton graduated from Pontiac High School in 1938 and then from Albion College in 1942 where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She then taught elementary school in Ferndale. She married Harold G.(Pete) Prosser on June 6, 1944 in Pontiac and they were married until his death on Jan 5, 1993. In 1954, they moved to Midland. Alice was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church of Midland, Life Member of Twentieth Century Club of Midland, Member of Midland Country Club, Member of the Lost Lake Woods Club of Lincoln, Member of Chapter AW-P.E.O. Sisterhood of Clarkston and a Member of the Clarkston United Methodist Church. Mrs. Prosser moved to Waterford in 1994 and was a resident of the Canterbury-on-the-Lake Retirement Village. She was the loving mother of JoAnn (Eugene) Nelson of Orion and the late Stephen Prosser. Grandmother of Kelly (Matthew) Westgate, Geoffrey Nelson and Andrew Prosser. She also was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Helen and Richard Fisher. Funeral service Saturday, 2pm at Canterbury-on-the-Lake. (5601 Hatchery Rd., Waterford) Family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-5 pm at the Pontiac Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Interment Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
