Allan "Pa" James Schweitzer, of Auburn Hills; passed away Nov. 19, 2009 at the age of 72. Allan was the most beloved husband of Mary Ann (Morrow) Schweitzer. He is the father of Marti Schweitzer, the late Mark Schweitzer, who was the co-owner of Schweitzer Carpet Service for 37 years, Michelle (Dan) Priest, and Colleen Cummings-Schweitzer. Allan was the best "Gramps" to Jacob and Marc Schweitzer, Brady Cummings, Alexandria Schweitzer, and Blake and Claudia Priest. He will always be remembered by his family for the devotion to the Minnesota Vikings and Ohio State Buckeyes. His humor and unusual personality for everyone he came in contact with will never be forgotten. Allan has been installing carpet for 56 years since the age of 16. He was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Schweitzer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday with suggested visiting hours of 2 to 4 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary prayers at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
