Aliff, Alvin Lewis; age 63; of Lake Orion; formerly of Ashland, Kentucky; went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning September 2, 2008. "Al" retired from General Motors Orion Plant after 32 years of service. He was also a member of Temple Baptist Church in Lake Orion. Al was the son of the late Elba and Pearl Aliff. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon K. (Simpson) Aliff, also formerly of Ashland, Kentucky; two sons Brent Allen and Aaron Lee Aliff of Lake Orion; and three grandchildren. Al is also survived by his brother Elba Aliff Jr. of Ironton, Ohio; brother in law Charles Ray Simpson of Ashland, Kentucky; four nieces; four great nieces; and one great nephew.The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with suggested visiting hours of 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Temple Baptist Church, 44 Beebe St., Lake Orion.
