Annie May Wigent

Annie May Wigent, of Pontiac; passed away April 8, 2008. Annie was born January 8, 1914. She married Ralph D. Wigent, M.D. in September, 1936. She graduated from Indiana University and entered medical school at Indiana, but left to raise her family. After WWII, Annie established her home with Dr. Wigent, where he served a term as Chief of Staff at Pontiac General Hospital. She was a member and active supporter of All Saints Episcopal Church for greater than 50 years where she taught Adult Bible Study. She loved to dance, was a world traveler and was a proud member of the Monroe Scottish Clan. She was also a board member of the Salvation Army and was active in Episcopal Diocesan Community Outreach. Annie had four children: Bruce R. (Karen); Rebecca M. (Bruce) Brandenburg; Andrew J.; and Benjamin D. She had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pontiac at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with suggested visiting hours of 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
