Antonio (Tonez) Dominquez Escamilla; age 23; of Waterford, Michigan; passed away October 28, 2022 in Curran, Michigan. Antonio was born in Pontiac, Michigan on April 29, 1999; to Ricca Escamilla (nee: Marsh) and Hector Escamilla Rodriguez. Antonio attended New Haven High School in New Haven, Indiana as well as Waterford Mott High School. In Antonio’s words, his loves were “Music & God, oh & coffee”. He was such a beautiful young soul who was extremely ambitious, talented, and gifted. He expressed his creative talents through music, art, writing and poetry. His deep passion for music and God inspired all who knew him. Antonio was very loving and caring and always made people laugh. He also enjoyed basketball, fishing and nature. There will never be a sunrise or sunset greater than the joy, love and blessings he brought into our lives. Antonio’s legacy will live on in the hearts and souls of all who loved him and the lives he touched. He will forever be missed and cherished. Antonio leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Ricca (Kendric Ballard) Escamilla and Hector Escamilla-Rodriguez, brother Ricardo Escamilla and sister Vanessa Escamilla-Saucedo; grandmothers Sylvia Jordan and Lidia Rodriguez-Escobedo; aunts Stacy Brewer, Shana Bradford, Krista (Nick) Scott, Sandra Escamilla-Rodriguez and Rocio (Ramon) Escamilla-Rodriguez; uncles Ricky Marsh, David (DJ) Marsh, Claudio Escamilla-Rodriguez and Lauro (Liliana) Escamilla-Rodriguez.; nephew, Emiliano Escamilla and niece Victoria Escamilla; cousins, Jerrick Harris, Kayla Collins, Jack Boston, Jonathan Quick, Erica Annis, Christopher Bradford, Yesenia Padilla, Nicole Bradford, Riahna Ostos and Janiesa Brewer; friend, mentor and Youth Pastor Brian Gerig and special friends, Frankie Santana, Adriana and Sirena Beltran, Angelo and Julianna Bermudez, Analilia, Juan and Jose Violante, Austin and Caleb Pease and Jack Stewart; and a host of other friends and family from the United States to Mexico. Antonio was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ricky Marsh and Celestino Escamilla-Saucedo; great-grandparents James “Melvin” and Willetta Jordan (nee: Reed) and Francisco Rodriguez-Chavez and Julia Escobedo-Sandoval; Uncle Bobby Marsh and great-uncle Alan Jordan. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 12:00pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. The family will receive friends at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10am until the time of service.
