Arthur G. Harp

January 5, 1925 — December 26, 2010

Harp, Arthur G; of Oxford; passed away on December 26, 2010 at the age of 85. Arthur is the beloved husband of the late Betty; loving father of Terry (Theresa) Harp, Rod (Jan) Harp, and Carole (Jeff) Waldecker; dear grandfather of Ryan (Holly) Harp, Andy (Katie) Harp, Stephanie Harp, Tarah (Chris) Engelbrecht, and Tyler Waldecker; cherished great grandfather of Sophie, Brady, Isabella, Ryan and Liam; and dear brother of Leonard (Pat) Harp, the late Don (Martha) Harp, Marie (Wallace) Stoecker, and Beverly (Larry) Clubine. He was a member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church for over 50 years, and together Arthur and his wife Betty owned Harp's Sales and Service for 26 years. Arthur's biggest joy in life was golfing and spending time with his family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Marge Munger officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Orion United Methodist Church Building Fund.
