ARTURO SALAS; of Pontiac; October 6, 2013; age 90. Loving husband of Petra for 67 years; beloved father of the late Olga Dibble (Ron), Juan (Cherie), Francisca Rosas (Jose), Pedro (Susan), Art Jr. (Denise), Rogelio, and Daniel (Tammy); cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother of Margarita Ruiz and Salvadore Salas of Monterrey, Mexico. Art was a member of St. Michaels Church, the fraternal order of the Eagles #1230, and Moose Club of Pontiac. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and the first Mexican to play the accordion with the group Conjunto Alegre in Pontiac. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Pontiac Chapel. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
