Betty B. Grube

Betty B. Grube; of Timonium, Maryland; formerly of Lake Orion; passed away November 28, 2016 at 94 years of age. Betty is the beloved wife of the late William; and loving mother of Wesley (Nancy), Jon (Susanne) and the late Mark. She is also survived by her five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother William (Martha Boyle) Slout. Betty and her husband William lived in Lake Orion in the early 1970’s prior to moving to Maryland in 1999. While in Lake Orion Betty would accompany and support William’s many Village Council campaigns from 1983 to 1995, which included terms as Council President. Betty was an accomplished musician and pianist, and for many, many years she played the organ for the Flint Christian Science Church. She was also an early computer adoptee who bought and sold dolls and teddy bears on Ebay long before mainstream America even knew what it was. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion . The family will receive friends on Friday from 11am until the time of service. Interment Roseland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 11311 McCormack Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, Maryland 21031.
