Harp, Betty J.; of Oxford; passed away on February 17, 2008 at the age of 78. Betty is the beloved wife of Arthur for 60 years; loving mother of Terry (Theresa) Harp, Rod ( Jan) Harp, and Carole (Jeff) Waldecker; dear grandmother of Ryan (Holly) Harp, Andy (Katie) Harp, Stephanie Harp, Tarah (Chris) Engelbrecht and Tyler Waldecker; cherished great grandmother of Sophie and Brady; dear sister of Doris (Dick) Kalso, Jessie (Bill) Isenhauser, Sarah (Tom) Taylor, Dawn (the late Charles) Gilbert and Gill (Sue) Gray. Betty is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Lake Orion United Methodist Church for 50 years, and together Betty and her husband Arthur owned Harp's Sales and Service for 26 years. Betty's biggest joy in life was taking care of her family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Lake Orion Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Orion United Methodist Church Building Fund. Reflections may be shared at www.sparksgriffin.com.
