Bonnie Jean Davis

Bonnie Jean Davis; of Oxford; age 81; passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021.  Bonnie was born in Springfield Township, Michigan to Darrell and Helen Irelan.  She married Benjamin Davis in Lapeer, Michigan in 1963.  Before her retirement Bonnie was a self-employed house keeper.  She was a very social and independent woman who could talk the ear off of anyone and she could fix just about anything herself.  One of the things that Bonnie enjoyed most was spending time with family playing cards.  She was also passionate about country music and played the organ, guitar and loved to sing karaoke with family.  Bonnie is survived by her sister-in-law Veramae Irelan and many nieces and nephews.  Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Helen Irelan, husband Benjamin Davis, brothers Darrell Jr., Hank, Leonard, Norman, Albert and Richard, sister Rosetta Ewers and sisters-in-law Norma, Lucille, Flora, Sarah and Marilyn.  The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 3:00 until 7:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  A burial service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 am at Ortonville Cemetery, Ortonville.
