In Loving Memory of Brian Bruce Hunt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Bruce Hunt, 71, who passed away on November 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Allegan, Brian was the fifth of six siblings to James and Ione Hunt. In his youth, he developed a strong work ethic and deep love for family. After serving time in the United States Army as a Specialist Spec 4 in Finance, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University.

Brian’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife Deborah, 46 years of true love. A loving father to Christine (Scott), Melissa (Eric), and Natalie (Derek). He was a proud, active, and silly grandfather to Jillian, Nora, Ruby, Troy, Dean Kelsey, Emmett, and Savannah; brother to Jim (Deborah), Vicki, Janet, Susie (Jon), and Tim (Ruth). Brian cherished laughing with his family, running, and watching any basketball or football game, specifically the Detroit Lions.

His friends and family will remember him as someone who loved to quote movies and tell stories, who never hesitated to help others, and the one who could recall several sports facts.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home located at 111 East Flint Street, Lake Orion, Michigan. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects in the Detroit Lions gear.

Rest in peace to a man who leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and hope that will live on in all who knew him.
