Brian Mcaskin

Brian Arthur McAskin; of Oxford; age 66; passed away on March 7, 2022.  Brian is the beloved husband of Mary Margaret McAskin for over 42 years; loving father of Dawn (Mark) Brooks and Nick (Erin) McAskin; loving grandfather of Tyler (Seanda) Irwin, Micaela and Samantha Brooks; dear brother of Patti (Jeff) Stanley, Larry (Gail) McAskin, Cindy Winther, Kelly (Rich) Comeau and Maire (Darrell) Springer. He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Mary Helen McAskin, his daughter Catherine Ann McAskin and his sister Maureen Jackson.  Brian was a devoted husband and an amazing father who adored his children.  He always had a positive attitude and although he had a disability, he never limited himself and was determined to keep doing all of the normal day to day things.  He always tried to help others and had many friends all over the world that he kept in touch with.  He was always involved with the Multiple Sclerosis community and helped in any way that he could.  He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends and everyone who knew him.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 3-7pm with a time of sharing at 6pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation .
