Calvin C. VanHook of Pontiac; passed away August 18, 2006 at the age of 74; beloved husband of Irene for 54 years; loving father of Sandra Webb, Ron (Judy) VanHook, Pat (Alex) Lemos, Cathy (Jesse) Lucio, Larry (Teresa) VanHook, Jane (Bill) St. George and Tom (Cheryl) VanHook; dear grandfather of nineteen and great-grandfather of nineteen. also survived by his sister Bessie (Edward) Bowers. Calvin was a Veteran of the 5th Army Engineer Corp and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a proud member of Local 594. In 1982 Calvin retired from G.M. Truck and Bus after 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment White Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cranbrook Hospice
