Carmen Albertina Glispie

Carmen Albertina Glispie; of Pontiac; age 77; passed away on September 8, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac. Carmen was born March 20, 1939 in Costa Rica. She moved to the United States in 1971 and became a United States Citizen in April 1985. Carmen was employed and retired from Pontiac General Hospital from 1972 – 2002. Carmen left behind longtime friend Daniel Pitts, two children Lietti Millery of Pontiac, MI and Joseph (Lettiea) Millery of Killeen, Texas. Carmen was blessed with five grandchildren, Litha Hill, Demetrius Millery, Bridget Goodman, Jamarrie Millery and Jaquan Millery. and five great-grandchildren, Dasia Pitts, Savon Pitts, Dezirae Millery, Demetrius Millery Jr., and Malik Millery. Sister to Leony McCloud and Gloria Cobbs. Preceded in death by Edgar Allen, Rosa Lewis, Delbert Lewis and Herminia Weeden. Carmen lived a fulfilling and humble life. Carmen was a child of God and a big influence in every body she met. She spent her life traveling and caring for others. Carmen will truly be missed for her love, wisdom, compassion, and knowledge. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Unity Church 780 W. Huron Pontiac, MI 48342.
