Carmen Maria Rosado, Vargas; of Clarkston, Michigan departed peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at age 92, surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Mercado Vargas. Beloved mother of the late daughter Agripina Lopez-Diaz, late son Carlos Lopez-Diaz, Justina Vargas of Tampa, Fl, Ariel Vargas of Warren, MI, Debbie Vargas of Bitely, MI and Damaris Vargas of Clarkston, MI. Beloved Grandmother of Josue (Janice) Perez and Dyan I. Perez both whom she raised, Sgt. Otoniel (Michelle) Velez, Felix (Amanda) Colon, Miko Grice, Frank R. (Tiffany) Colon all of Michigan and 17 other grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.Mrs. Vargas was co-founder of the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal, M.I. "Elim" in Pontiac, MI as well as churches in Salinas, Puerto Rico, Detroit, Imlay City and Saginaw, MI. She dedicated 71 years to ministry and service to God.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal, M.I. "Elim", 239 East Pike St. Pontiac, MI.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal, M.I. "Elim" Church Founders Memorial Project at 239 E. Pike St. Pontiac, MI 48342.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Reflections may be shared at www.sparksgriffin.com.
