Carmen Maria Rodriguez-Rivas

Carmen M. Rodriguez-Rivas; age 77; of Pontiac, MI; passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 14, 2022. She was born on January 21, 1945 in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico to the late Eugenio Rodriguez and Maria Belen Rivas. Sister of 4 brothers and 1 sister. Carmen was all about family and her enjoyed spending time with loved ones. Especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved flowers (especially roses), she was a very spiritual person who enjoyed going to church gatherings and listening to gospel music. She was also a very positive person and  had a good sense of humor. Carmen is survived by her 6 children, Ramon (Mary Lou) Colon Jr., Maria (Pedro) Morales, Mike (Mateja) Colon-Rodriguez, Marta (Edwin) Valentin, Lucy (Fernando-Nandy) Colon and Eufemia (Richard) Barreto; 22 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac Chapel.
