Carolyn Adele Hubbard
(January 10, 1931 – February 22, 2023)
Hubbard, Carolyn Adele; February 22, 2023; of Rochester Hills, MI; age 92. Beloved wife of the late John Hubbard and loving mother to Mary (Michael) Kennedy and Mark (Linda) Hubbard. Devoted grandmother of Matthew (Kelsey) and Brian Hubbard and Daniel and Andrew Kennedy. Carolyn is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Marion (Copeland) Cowan and her brother, David (Carol) Cowan. After graduation from Pontiac High School in 1948, she attended Michigan State University and went on to work in banking as well as at General Motors. In addition, Carolyn was accomplished in all kinds of needlework and for years owned and operated a store in Romeo, MI. She continued her artistic pursuits in retirement, painting and producing many beautiful pieces. Family was very important to Carolyn; she devoted much of her time learning as much as possible about her ancestral tree, tracing and documenting her history back to the 1500’s. This interest extended beyond her own heritage as she helped friends and neighbors discover more about their genealogy. Carolyn cultivated this passion by serving as Archivist for All Saints’ Episcopal Church helping organize its history dating back to its inception in 1837. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Pontiac. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All Saints’ Episcopal Church of Pontiac, Michigan (171 W. Pike St., Pontiac, MI 48341) in memory of Carolyn A. Hubbard. Arrangements entrusted to the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
