Chris M. Hernandez

Chris M. Hernandez; age 62; of Pontiac; passed away August 4, 2019. Chris is the loving brother of Manuel (Ana), Simon, Beatrice "Dolly" Hernandez and  Veronica (Jim); and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Hernandez and Otilia Casanova, brother Russell and sister Bernadette. He was a warm soul with a lively spirit and a big heart. He befriended people wherever he went and always had a story to share. He was a big Stars Wars and science fiction fan and avid collector of action figures and memorabilia. He never missed an opportunity to show his collection. A lover of science and astronomy, he enjoyed stargazing and shooting rockets. He was also a heavy metal and hard rock fan and loved to attend concerts and events like monster trucks rallies and tractor pulls. The right song could always get his toe tapping as he whistled along. He loved family and had much love for all his nieces and nephews. He was one of kind and he will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 11am - 1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Pontiac.
