Christopher Osborn-Rivera (“Chris”) of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 27, 2024, in the company of his mother at her home in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Chris was born December 20, 1968, in Pontiac, Michigan, and was the loving husband of Carlos and proud father of three standard Poodle fur babies: Stormie, Luckie, and Miss Pearl.
Chris loved to travel and worked in transportation at Orlando International Airport and previously at Walt Disney World, and was a former flight attendant for Northwest Airlines in the 1990s. A friend to all who met him, Chris will always be remembered for his laugh and his famous collard-greens. He loved cooking, gardening, and visiting his families in Florida and Michigan.
Chris is survived by his husband, Carlos Rivera-Osborn, his mother Jody Osborn, his sister Catherine (Michael) Hacala, sister-in-law Elizabeth Rivera, brothers-in-law Alberto Feliciano, Pedro Feliciano, and Edwin Rivera, nieces Paige (Russell) Porter and Julianne Ringlein, and nephew Nate Ringlein. Chris was preceded in death by his father Fred Osborn in 2019. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends across Michigan and Florida.
A celebration of life gathering will be held for Michigan family and friends on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion Chapel, 111 East Flint Street, Lake Orion, Michigan 48362. A gathering of Chris’ Florida family & friends will be announced soon.
