Claudia T. Negrete

Claudia Taylor Negrete; age 57; passed away Sept. 29, 2012, at her home after a two-year battle with cancer. Claudia is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Victor Negrete; daughters Stephanie Taylor Lay (Arlie) and Andrea Negrete; son Nicholas Negrete; her father, Glen Taylor; sister Helen Taylor; brothers Glen E. Taylor, George Taylor (Gail) and Jeffery Taylor (Heather); step-children Monica James and Victor James (Holly); father-in-law Manuel Negrete Sr. and his wife, Claudia; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Claudia was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Taylor. Claudia was a member and employee of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Waterford. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams Street, Pontiac Rosary prayers will being at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will take place Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial. Claudia was a loving, compassionate spirit who with the support of her family fought her battle courageously. She will be missed.
