Connie Lee Oates, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away surrounded by his loved ones. A man known for his dedication to family and friends. Connie brought warmth and humor to everyone he met.
Connie spent 30 years of his career with General Motors, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. Outside of work, he was passionate about the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting, fishing with family, and taking every opportunity to golf- a sport he enjoyed immensely.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia; his son, John (Penny); daughters, Nickie (Davey) and Kelley (Carl); and his stepsons, Erik and Jeffrey (Carly). Connie was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn, his sister, Shirley, and his brother, Ray. His legacy lives on through his five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his spirit and his love of family.
Connie's presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him. His family and friends take comfort in knowing he is a peace, reunited with those who went before him, and his memory will remain a lasting source of joy and love.
