CODE, CORA SARAH. January 6, 2010, Age 91 of Waterford, formerly of Mount Clemens. Born April 6, 1918 in Parry Sound, Canada to the late Silas and Edith Magan. Preceded in death by stepfather Wilfred J. Proulx.Beloved wife of the late Carl E. for 60 years. Loving mother of Carl(Kathleen) Code Jr. of Washington, Mrs. Pat(Walt) Van Conant of Lake Orion and Conrad(Cheryl) Code of Gaylord. Dear sister of Eileen Williams, special cousin of Glady Dolan, Grace McDermott and Merle Carr of Canada. She was the proud grandmother of Kari(Steve) Mattinson, Chip(Beth) Code, Cindy Code, Robin(Doug) McSpadden, Beth(Jon) Nicholas and the late Kimberly Polan. Also survived by grandson-in-law George Polan. Great-Grandmother of 13. Mrs Code was a cafeteria manager at Pontiac Schools for 20 years before retirement. She loved camping, fishing, knitting, traveling, visiting, crocheting and sewing. She lived at Mendelson Assisted Living Home and cherished the wonderful care she received. Memorial service 11 am Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends 10 am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Arthritis Foundation or Mercy Cranbrook Hospice Care. Arrangements entrusted to the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
