KERNOTT, Daniel C. Age 58 of Pontiac, formerly of Clarkston. Passed away March 1, 2009, after a long and brave fight to survive lung and brain cancer. Beloved son of the late Jack and Marion Kernott. Dear brother of John of Lake Orion and Kathy of Pontiac. Special niece and nephew, who helped care for him to the end; Dawn M. Kernott and Roger J. (Ameshia Ervin) Kernott. Nieces: Deborah Kernott and Andrea Nicole Kernott and nephew: John Kernott. Five great nieces and nephews; Ashley, Cassie, Tyler, Jody and Joseph. Also survived by a host of long time friends, including Valerie Elmy who was his primary care giver and Joe Villereal. Dan retired from General Motors Truck & Bus. Mr. Kernott loved traveling and buying & selling cars. Funeral service Friday 11am at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Thursday after 3pm, with suggested visiting hours of 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery. A Guest Reflection can be made @ www.sparksgriffin.com
