David M. Harper

David Michael Harper was born on April 30, 1952 and left us on April 29, 2017.  He passed away at his Oxford, Michigan, home of complications of diabetes.

David grew up in Auburn Hills, Michigan and attended Avondale High School. After some college, he was employed at Avondale school district for 35 years as a custodial engineer where he was beloved by staff and children alike.

Throughout the years David enjoyed traveling, camping, biking, working out and hiking. For several years he toured with “Elvis” (Jeff Stork) and he enjoyed that.

David is survived by his mother Isabel Harper; sister Robin Harper Bobek (Pat); brother Scott Harper; nephews and niece Patrick Bobek, Stephen Bobek (Racheal), Jake Harper and Savannah Harper. He was preceded in death by his father Carroll Harper, sister Karen Harper and other loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

A service will be held at Woodside Bible Church, 2500 Joslyn Rd., Lake Orion, Michigan 48360 at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017. Luncheon will follow the service at the home of Pat & Robin (Harper) Bobek. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
