Deon Terrell Rhimes

July 28, 1972 - February 10,2022

Mr. Deon “POPS” Rhimes; of Pontiac; age 49; passed away on February 10, 2022.

Mr. Deon Terrell Rhimes was born July 28, 1972 in Pontiac Michigan, the son of Darlene Rhimes and Late Kelvin Donaldson Jr. and of Late Jessie Giles Jr. Deon accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Deon was educated in the Pontiac school systems. One of his jobs was working at a janitorial company. He then had the drive to start his asphalt company which he managed and owned. Deon was extremely active in all sports. Words can’t explain the love he had for his children. Just seeing their faces or hearing their voices would bring him great joy. His happiness was in hearing his grandkids call him “PaPa”. Deon was extremely family oriented as well as an all around caring person. Just as lovely as he could be. Anyone can tell you he was proud to help anyone out or lend a helping hand. He took great pleasure in racing cars, he also was the ultimate player at playing cards. He loved to throw down at the family backyard Barbecue.

Mr. Deon Rhimes is the loving father of sons Quanzay Milton and Deondre Rhimes Charles (charlo bates). Daughters; Shantel, Dionne, Ryan and Morgan Rhimes, of Pontiac, Michigan. Domonique Micheal of Fort Wort, Texas. As well as being an involved father to Latoya, Shakyra and Laquita Carey of Pontiac. Loving grandfather; of Khloe Shaw, Megan Rhimes, Keonte Shaw Jr. and Marvin Ford Jr. Sisters; Temikia Rhimes, Jessica Giles. Brothers; Jessie Giles III, Kelvin and Antwon Fulbright.

He was preceded in death by his fathers; Kelvin Donaldson Jr. and Jessie Giles Jr.

Grandparents; Jimmie Rhimes Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Donaldson Sr. and Jessie and Charle Mae Giles

Mr. Deon Rhimes was a very special person and touched the hearts of many and will truly be missed by uncle Johnny Coleman Jr. Along with many loving relatives and special friends & friends.

A viewing will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 during the hours of 1:00pm-5:00pm, at  Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 12:00pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 46 Williams Street Pontiac, MI 48341. The family will receive friends from 11:30am until the time of service. Burial: Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N Perry St. Pontiac, MI 48340.
