Troia, Diana (Dempsey); age 55; of Oxford; left to be with the Lord on September 7, 2007. Cherished wife of Richard Troia for 35 years, and devoted mother of Michael (Holly) Troia of Midland. Diane dedicated her life to loving and serving the Lord and others. She loved children, animals, music, traveling, being a Godmother, and most importantly, spending time with loved ones. She was passionate about her faith and provided financial support to children in undeveloped nations. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Clell and Iva Dempsey; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William & Doris Troia; and her nieces, Linda Trembley, Jill Troia, and Tammy Cooper. Her laughter and smile are sorely missed by her husband, Richard; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Holly; her siblings, Ruth Cooper, of Lake Orion; Eugene (Barbara) of Oxford; Jack (Pat) Dempsey, of Brown City; and Robert Dempsey, of Oxford; her brother-in-law Bill (Ann) Troia, of North Port, Florida; her sister-in-law Beverly (John) Gwin, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Lake Orion United Methodist Church. Diane's loved ones will gather to celebrate her life at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks Griffin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A burial service will immediately follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Oxford, and all are welcomed to reunite at Lake Orion United Methodist Church afterward for a luncheon.
