WALKER, DIANE JOYCE, age 78; died November 6, 2012. Predeceased by parents, Duncan J. and Marie E. Anderson. Loving mother of Todd D. (Lynn) and Amy W. (Bruce) Annett; grandmother of Katie and Emily Annett; sister of Patricia Manning; aunt of Robyn D. Manning. Devoted friend of James Kropog. A lifelong resident of Pontiac and Waterford, Diane was retired from the Michigan Department of Social Services. She loved ballroom dancing, taking lessons for many years at the Arthur Murray studio. In her retirement, Diane contributed to animal welfare organizations, volunteered with the Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Donations may be made to the Michigan Animal Rescue League, Pontiac; Oakland County Pioneer and Historical Society, Pontiac; Northbrook Presbyterian Church, Beverly Hills, or the charity of your choice. Visitation 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 8 at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, 46 Williams St. Pontiac. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, November 9 at the funeral home, Reverend Marjorie Wilhelmi of Northbrook Presbyterian Church officiating.
