Donald "Bruce" O'Neill

Donald Bruce O'Neill; age 90; died July 7, 2015. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann and his second wife Maggie. Father of Bruce Michael (Ashley), James Patrick, Ann Marie (David Hilty), and Meghan; step father of Jenny Morris and Donny Armstrong; grandfather of Jamie (Joanna), Col. Jeff (Mia), Colleen (Dr. Joe Stutz), Kaitlyn Kristin Connor O'Neill, Kellie Labiak, Madelyn, Michael & Kevin Hilty, and Dylan and Bradley; and great grandfather of 9. Also survived by his sisters, Kathleen (the late Al) Fromm, Pauline (Gerry) Panyard and Peggy (the late Bernie) Nadon; step brother & brother in law, Frank Bowler; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jack (Faye) and Jim (Rosemary). Bruce was a successful salesman of a variety of photographic equipment. He was a veteran of WW2, European Theater, wounded in France, 254th Infantry 63rd Division, and Blood & Fire. Bruce loved his family and the Tigers & Lions. He lived life to the fullest and had a heart of gold. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N. Lapeer Road, Lake Orion on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11am. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8pm at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery. Reflections may be shared at www.sparksgriffin.com
