Donald David Chuey

Donald David Chuey; was born February 28, 1927 to Martin and Elizabeth Chuey in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Don was the youngest and last surviving of four children. After serving in the Army during World War II, he taught in the Pontiac School System for 36 years and 3 years at Our Lady of the Lakes, Waterford. Don was active in many charities including Knights of Columbus, Crop Walk for Hunger, Right to Life, and most notably 25 years with Saint Vincent de Paul. Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary; his five children, Mark (Jean), Paul (Kathy), John, James (Julie) and Mary Bishop (Brad); and nine grandchildren. Memorial donations are encouraged to Saint Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph Conference. A Requiem Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 North Lapeer Road, Lake Orion at 11am on Friday, July 21, 2017. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
