Donna Beatty

Donna Marie Beatty; age 85; of Metamora; passed away on April 6, 2021.  Donna is the beloved wife of the late Joseph Nathan Beatty Sr.; loving mother of Debra Shelby, the late Joey Beatty, Cindy (Randy) Hottmann and Brett Beatty; loving grandmother of Larry Shelby, Carol Sue Barnowsky and ShiAnne Beatty; and great grandmother and great great grandmother of many.  She was also the dear sister of Joyce Peck.  Donna loved to travel with her husband all over the U.S. on their motorcycle.  They enjoyed looking at the scenery on their travels.  Her son Brett took her to get her favorite ice cream, Butter Pecan, on many occasions.  Their adventures even included deep sea fishing where she once caught a Shark and a big Sea Bass!  Donna was an avid sports fan of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings.  Going to the casino and playing bingo were some of the past times that she enjoyed.   Donna liked birds, especially Hummingbirds and Baltimore Orioles.  She loved all flowers but Orchids were her favorite.  Donna was also an animal lover and enjoyed watching movies that had dogs or horses in them.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11am until the time of service.  Interment White Chapel Cemetery.  In honor of Donna guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Detroit Tigers or Detroit Red Wings spirit wear. Masks are required and social distancing is suggested.
