Doris Burtch of Auburn Hills; passed away on May 7, 2006 at the age of 89; born in Prescott, Michigan on September 9, 1916 to Chester and Minnie May; beloved wife of Dennis who passed away in 1994; loving mother of Ronald "Jeff" Burtch of Auburn Hills, Robert Burtch of Mariposa, California and Gary (Vanna) Burtch of Holly; dear grandmother of Chet, Chris, Michelle, Lisa, Vincent, Denise, Rachel, Rebecca, Joel and Justin; great-grandmother of seven; sister of Eunice Biano of Sacramento, California and the late Chester May and Violet Little. Doris was a charter member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Rochester. She was active in several volunteer groups in the community, spending a great deal of her time with the Pontiac Township Moms and the Pontiac Area Campers. Doris took pride in making over 75 afghans for all her family and friends and she was truly known for her baking and working to the benefit of those in need. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at St. Lukes United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.
