Doris M. LewisDied April 29, 2008Doris Marjorie Lewis, 93, of Lake Orion went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday. Mrs. Lewis was a resident of Lake Orion for more than 50 years. She was wife the late Lawrence for 53 years. Beloved mother of Buddy (Dolores) Herbert, grandmother of Jill and Mike (Lori), great grand-mother of Anthony and Kristen, step-mother of James Lewis and step-grandmother of Vicki, Jim, Kari, Lori, Connie and Stephanie and 14 step-great grandchildren. She was a member of Oxford Free Methodist Church and was active in church work with the Women's Ministries International. She served as 3rd grade Sunday School Teacher and was the Assistant Treasurer for the church. Funeral service will be held Thursday 11 am at Oxford Free Methodist Church ( 790 S. Lapeer Rd. Oxford). Family will receive friends Wednesday after 3pm, with suggested visiting hours of 3-5 & 7-9 pm at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks Griffin Funeral Home. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.
