Doris Jean Nichols

Doris Jean Nichols; April 23, 2012; age 77; formerly of Sylvan Lake. Doris is the beloved wife of the late Jack Henry Nichols; loving mother of Susan (Robert Sells) Stewart of Naples, FL, Debra Nichols of Scottsdale, AZ and Jack Nichols Jr. (Annastacia) of Apopka, FL.; grandmother of Allison and Jackson Nichols; and dear sister of Charles (Joann) Haney, Joyce (Jack) McKinney, and Linda (Robert) Ribant. She is also survived by her dear sister in law Karleen Haney and her many nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Esther Haney and her brothers Vernon, Russell, and Dickie Haney. She had been living in Apopka, Florida under the care of her son Jack Jr. since 2009. Doris was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union and she loved visiting Las Vegas and enjoyed attending performances, especially Elvis Presley and Siegfried and Roy. Funeral service Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends Monday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for visiting. Interment White Chapel Cemetery.
