Dorothy Hoag

Hoag, Dorothy A. (Rider); of Lake Orion; age 75; passed away April 22, 2015. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late James D. Hoag; mother of Jackie (Bruce) Pascoe, Bob Hoag and Bill Hoag; sister of Charles K. (Trudy) Rider and Jane (Jack) Robinson; grandmother of Leeya, Brett and Kip; and great grandmother of Kaila, Andrew and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents Kyle D. and Betty J. Rider; sister Margaret McDavitt; and brother Paul D. Rider. Dorothy most recently taught 5th grade at Stadium Elementary School before retiring from the Lake Orion Schools after more than 30 years. A gathering of family and friends will be held to remember Dorothy and her husband James on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 3 to 6 pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
