Douglas Lee England

December 2, 1938 — January 24, 2012

Douglas L. England; Longtime resident of Lake Orion; passed away January 24, 2012 at the age of 73. Doug is survived by his loving wife Patty Terrien England; three sons, Darcy (Debra), Kent (Evelyn) and Jay (Jenny); five grandchildren; and sisters Ellen (Chuck) Gillis, Donna (Gary) Ledger, and Marjorie England Kukuk. He is also survived by his sister in law Nancy England Hodges and several nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents Wilber and Ellen England; and brothers, Loren and Tommy England. He retired from General Motors after 33 years and was a graduate of U of D. Doug enjoyed skiing, playing golf and tennis, and running in marathons. A Memorial Celebration will be held Sunday January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 130 E. Drahner Rd. in Oxford. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.
