Douglas M. Poole Sr.

May 29, 1942 — February 23, 2018

Douglas M. Poole Sr; of Pontiac; passed away on February 23, 2018 at the age of 75. Douglas is the cherished husband of the late Donna Kilman Poole; beloved father of Kimberly (Gordie) Hill, Terri (James) Gagnon, Sherri (Joseph) Remsing and Douglas (Denise) Poole Jr.; and the loving “PoPo” of 12 grandchildren; and his first great grandchild on the way. He is also the dear brother of Edna (Howard) Wiley and Brenda Hecht. Before retiring, Douglas worked for Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital as an LPN and Pontiac Motors as a Metal Press Operator. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed joking around with his family and friends. Douglas was also deeply spiritual and was a member of the United Faith Church of Pontiac and the Harvestland Church of Clarkston. Family was of utmost importance to Douglas and he was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1pm at the Harvestland Church in Clarkston. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery.
