Douglas Wilson

Douglas Allen Wilson; age 65 of Clarkston; passed away surrounded by family on April 8, 2022 after a brief battle with brain cancer. Doug was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Robert “Bob” and Lenora Wilson. He was a loving husband to Maritess “Tess” Wilson and proud father to Ashley (Chris) Slagle, Alison (Aurelia) Cisneros, Annalisa (Daniel) Arthaud and Chelsea Wilson. He was a goofy Grandpa and Papa to Kendall, Lilyana, Grayson Douglas, Elijah and River. Brother to Robert (Denise) Wilson, Vince (Linda) Wilson and Lolamarie Wilson. Uncle and cousin to many and friend to all.

Doug “The Golf Car Guy” was born February 15, 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan. Doug had a passion for all things motorized, his favorite ride being any Yamaha dirt bike. Doug spent most of his life running Burington Golf Car Rentals and BG Parts. He was a beloved bus driver in the cities of Troy and Lake Orion for over 20 years. He loved to be outside with the sun shining on his face while he was working, driving his golf car or just relaxing.

Doug will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A celebration of life will be held by the family this summer.
