Dr. Verner Clarence Jackson Jr. (Pop); of Pontiac, MI. departed this life on January 24, 2012. Dr. Jackson is the son of the late Verner C. Jackson Sr. and Willie Esther Jackson ; survived by his children Ronald Jackson and Carla (Lance) White; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and three sisters Sheila (Bennie) Ellout, Belinda (Murray) Edwards and Joyce (Cyrus) Cole; also survived by a host of other loving relatives and dear friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 474 University Dr., Pontiac with Reverend David E. Washington officiating. Family hour will be 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home.
