Earl Bishop

Earl J. Bishop; of Lapeer; age 68; passed away on November 16, 2017. Earl is the beloved husband of Barbara for 46 years. He is also survived by his son Justin; grandson Austin; brother William (Sue); and close family friend Nathan Edward Willis. Earl retired from GM after 46 years, and was a longtime member at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a man that was always busy doing something, and if there was some kind of mechanical problem, Earl was the guy to call. He enjoyed coaching his grandson’s baseball team and most recently was into High Performance Boat Racing. To know Earl, was to know he was a fighter, especially for the last 8 years after becoming a heart transplant recipient. Earl will be missed by many family members and dear friends. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5-8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Oxford.
