Earl F. Bliss Jr.

Earl F. Bliss Jr.; of Lake Orion; age 84. Earl was born in Metamora on Nov. 22, 1928 to Earl Sr. and Ruth Quick Bliss. He left this world Feb. 12, 2013 to reunite with his beloved wife Irmgard Bliss. Earl is the beloved father of Petra (Archie) Hunt and Myra Dyer; dearest grandfather of Stephanie Whittaker, Joel Hunt, Kelly (Mike) Wille and Steven (Mandi) Wright Jr.; and very loving great grandfather "Papa" to Nolan, Skylar, Emma, Addy, Conner, Maddy, Carter, David, Alec and Lane. Earl is also survived by his sister Ann Bellehumuer and dear friend Della Hollerback. He was preceded in death by four siblings. Earl attended Lake Orion Schools and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at the Oxford Gravel Pit and later retired as a Millright from Pontiac Motors. Earl was a stand-up member of the community as a past Curator of the Oxford Museum, a member of the North Oakland Genealogy Society and a longtime member of the American Legion. Earl was a wonderful neighbor, a friend to many, and loved by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion.
