DEWEY, EDGAR DUANE "ED" passed away peacefully September 30, 2008. Age 87 of Orion Twp. Beloved husband of the late MaryJane Dewey. Dear father of Dan, Dave (Diane), Linda and the late Bill(Cindy) Dewey. Proud grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Edsel and the late Louise Ransford and Edwin Dewey. Brother-in-law of the late Marilyn Dewey and George Ransford. Ed and MaryJane had recently celebrated 62 years of marriage. Ed built his family home on the Dewey Family Farm on Judah Road, where they raised their family and lived for nearly 50 years. He was an active member of Joslyn Avenue Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, where he was a Trustee; was a Master Sargeant in the United States Army serving during WWII in Trinidad for 3 years; was retired from General Motors after 42 years of service. Funeral service 11 am Saturday, at the Lake Orion Chapel of the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday 3-8 PM.
