Edward Boughner

Edward "Ed" Boughner, born September 27, 1966, in Oklahoma, passed away on September 11, 2024.

Ed was a beloved chef known for his culinary talents and his ability to bring people together through food. He lived his entire life in Lake Orion, a place he held dear to his heart.

Ed was a devoted father to his cherished daughter, Sammy, who was his pride and joy. He loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family, often sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.

Ed had a passion for the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and found joy in cooking meals for those he loved. His loyal dog Gordie was always by his side accompanying him on his adventures. He shared a loving relationship with his girlfriend, Jeanette, and was a source of support and kindness to all who knew him.

Ed is survived by his mother, Edeltraud, his daughter Samantha, and his niece, Julie, who will miss his funny, caring, and generous spirit. He was predeceased by his father Gary and brother Michael.

Ed's favorite place in the world was up north in the woods, where he found peace and happiness. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched with his warmth and humor.

We ask that anyone wishing to say goodbye to Ed or show his family support that you join us at the American Legion Post 233 in Lake Orion on October 5th from 12-3. In lieu of flowers, the family requested bringing donations to be given to a local animal rescue or making a donation to an animal shelter of your choice in Ed’s honor.
