Born June 1, 1931 in Westport, Co. Mayo, Ireland, Eamon (Edward) Higgins left a legacy of love and compassion before his gentle soul passed on December 7, 2011. Survived by his wife, Ellen; children Brian (Kathryn) Higgins, Nora (Sam) Golper, and Ted Higgins; and grandchildren Reilly and Declan. Memorial Visitation Dec. 14th from 5-8 p.m. at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion. Funeral Mass at Christ the Redeemer in Orion Township Dec 15 at 10:00 a.m. Reflections may be shared with the family by visiting www.sparksgriffin.com.
