Edward R. Thorpe

Edward Ray Thorpe; of Oxford; age 77; passed away on February 20, 2022.  Ed is the beloved husband of Treasa Thorpe for 49 years; loving father of Benjamin Beau Thorpe; loving grandfather of Jamel, Bria, Benjamin Beau Jr., Celia and Baby; dear brother of Janice (Frank) Moore, Lana Tomlin, Hope Murray, Sue (Doug) Herrick and Debbie Thorpe; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Zenith Thorpe, his brother Sam Thorpe and his son William Walker Thorpe. He loved family get togethers, music, movies, reading, basketball and football. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 12-2pm with a time of sharing at 1pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children .
