Edwin T. Roberts

Edwin T. Roberts; of Lake Orion; age 75; October 31, 2016. Ed is the beloved husband of Janice for 52 years; loving father of Monica (Mike) Halley, Thomas (Amy) Roberts and Ann Marie (Paul) Thiergartener; loving grandfather of Matt (Mia), Curtis, Dan, Carissa and Kaitlyn; and dear great grandfather of Marcus.  He is the brother of George and the late Margery and Mary Ellen.  Ed will always be remembered as a man that dedicated his leisure time to the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter, loved boating and all water sports, especially the ones that included launching water balloons at his grandkids while they were on the lake.  Ed also loved gardening, showing off his duck decoys and collecting birdfeeders (in search of the perfect one!).  Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lake Orion.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-8pm at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Lake Orion , with Rosary Prayers to begin at 7pm.  Interment will be held in the Preserve at All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Reflections may be shared by visiting www.sparksgriffin.com .
