Ellen Dumbrigue; age 82; passed away peacefully after a long illness Thursday, December 24, 2009; Preceded in death by her husband Miguel "Mike" and son Michael; loving companion of Harry Stoneberg; dearest mother of Michelle (Howard) Langefeld, Mel (Linda) Dumbrigue, and Ted (Barbara) Dumbrigue; beloved grandmother of Amanda (Josh), Brandon (Fiancée Sarah), Melchior (Fiancée Amanda), Andrea, Rose, William, Jack, Manuel, and Deanna; loving great grandmother of Jude; dear sister of LaVerne Alban, Robert Bell, Homer "Bud" Bell, Blaine Bell, the late Richard Robertucci, Joseph Delogitti, Danny Brendez, Andres Brendez, and Lee Thompson; plus many nieces and nephews; and dearest friend to Blaire and Richard Hoffman. Ellen was a long-time resident of Pontiac, and recently Bradenton, Florida. She was retired from Michigan Bell (AT&T) in 1982 and subsequently Huron Valley Hospital. Ellen was a member of the Association of Michigan Myomassologists. As an avid quilter she loved to share her quilts with family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pontiac Chapel of Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, 248 338-9288. The family will receive friends on Wednesday with visiting hours from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial tributes to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238(www.hospitalsoup.com/listing/7695-tidewell-hospice-and-palliative-care).
